Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant will pop up at The Glasshouse in Melbourne this January, as part of the Australian Open 2020.
Serving up a first-class dining experience to local and international tennis fans, Executive Chef Scott Huggins and his team will occupy The Glasshouse during the second week of the Australian Open tournament, from Tuesday 28 January to Sunday 2 February 2020.
“We are thrilled to bring a taste of Magill Estate Restaurant to the Australian Open in 2020. This is our first Melbourne pop-up experience at the tennis and we look forward to serving fans a special degustation menu crafted exclusively for the tournament. Guests can expect intricate dishes packed with flavour, impeccable service and exceptional wines” said Executive Chef Scott Huggins.
On Wednesday 18th April, Magill Estate Restaurant and Mayura Station will come together to host an interactive dining experience that celebrates the best of South Australian wine and wagyu.
Held at Magill Estate Restaurant, the standalone dinner will include a five-course degustation menu created by Head Chef Scott Huggins, featuring four Mayura Wagyu dishes and one dessert.

Magill Estate Restaurant has been named the top restaurant in South Australia, as part of the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Restaurants of 2015. Magill Estate was also named in the nation’s Top 50 restaurants, as voted by Australia's top chefs and restaurateurs.
The Restaurant and Catering Association has named Magill Estate as the Restaurant of the Year at the 2015 South Australian awards ceremony. In addition to the top accolade, Magill Estate also received the award for Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year.
