Co-Head Chefs Scott Huggins and Emma McCaskill of Magill Estate Restaurant were named ‘Chefs of the Year’ in The Advertiser Food Awards 2016. The talented chefs were recognised for their culinary achievements at both Magill Estate Restaurant and Magill Estate Kitchen.
Magill Estate Restaurant proudly received several notable accolades at the 2016 Savour Australia SA Restaurant and Catering Awards, held in Adelaide this July. The restaurant was named best ‘Fine Dining Restaurant’ and also received the sought-after ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award, for the second year in a row. The annual awards recognise those restaurants and caterers who excel in their field, celebrating exceptional service and culinary talent. Magill Estate Restaurant received a 'four fork' rating at the 2015 Advertiser Food Awards. This is the highest rating, awarded to restaurants who are 'outstanding in all areas'.
Recognised as a genuinely superior dining experience, the restaurant was commended for its offering of intricate dishes and the opportunity to enjoy wines from the Penfolds cellars. Co-Head Chefs Scott Huggins and Emma McCaskill were recognised for their skills in delivering an intricate menu inspired by local and seasonal produce. Magill Estate was also recognised for the restaurant’s ‘luxe’ interior setting, offering immaculate views over the vineyards and the Adelaide CBD.
Magill Estate named the top restaurant in South Australia, as part of the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Restaurants of 2015. Announced at an awards dinner held in Melbourne, Magill Estate was also named in the nation’s Top 50 restaurants, as voted by Australia's top chefs and restaurateurs.
The Restaurant and Catering Association has named Magill Estate as the Restaurant of the Year at the 2015 SA awards ceremony. In addition to the top accolade, Magill Estate also received the award for Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year.
